LOL. What myth? He is an Illinois Senator who wants to be responsible for national security. He can't even keep the south side of Chicago safe.
I take it then Sarah Palin is responsible for those in her state who club baby seals?
Responsible? Hell, she probably is one of them. Mind you though, she'll know how to skin it and then take it home for a hat and a stew dinner. That's my kind of girl.

Or should we discuss the fact that Obama wouldn't be able to pull out the police in Chicago in his current position, but he would be able to pull our troops out of Iraq as President?

You are right of course. Obama is not responsible for the police work in Chicago. My post was merely a little tongue-in-cheek poke at Obama. It was about as realistic as the claims made by people who think that Sarah would make a bad VP because her daughter got pregnant.
I could start a little war with you about how the places with the highest crime statistics have the largest liberal populations, but we both know that that would just be a spitting contest. I'm up for it if you are, ha ha.
I think its more like what the main stream media thinks of the people who live in Chicago. That's who the cbs2chicago.com site is reporting the story to. Chicago, the last working Democratic machine in the country.
Nah, as I said in my other post, I have given up on politics as a venue for serious discussion. I give it the Silver medal honors for topics that you bring up if you're looking for a fight.
This is the type of article I was referring to way back in May in my own blog about the media reporting through the use of broken logic. I never did bother seeking out any articles for that purpose, perhaps I'll revisit that discussion using this one as an example.
The more I think about the analogy this article tries to present the more annoying I find it. Sadly, people eat this shit up because thinking beyond what is written, and recognizing that the prima facie case for the analogy fails from a multitude of simple observations is clearly too much work.
